Intern Jenna on the Torch Protests & 3 Minute Film Fest
Intern Jenna’s take on our trek out the Embarcadero during the Torch Run Protests, and also the fantastic night that was The 3 Minute Film Festival…

Ahhh the life of a morning show intern, finally an outlet for us to blog our true feelings! So…where do I begin? Hmmm well actually no complaints, despite the whole sleep deprivation dilemma, working for the show has been a blast! Last week defiantly marked my favorite week here by far!! I’ll start with the Torch protests in San Francisco. The KGBeast Lesya and I came into the studio Wednesday morning and as far as I had known it was going to be the two of us and Hooman going out to interview the crazies down at the embarcadero. Matty had some signs with “Go USA!” and “Don’t Touch the Torch”, printed on them. Needless to say we stood out down at the protest. Had the torch ACTUALLY CAME DOWN the embarcadero we would have served as great supporters for the it, which it totally needed!
Anyway moving on to the 3 min film fest…that was a crazy night for sure!! My favorite quote of the night probably was Matty when he introduced “Return to the Studio”… (not verbatim but his intro went something like this), ” Hello Ssssan Fran Sssan Francisco… oh you guys know I’m drunk”…then Matty proceeds to eat the Mic! My heart swelled with pride. On to the films…Fantaisie in Bubblewrap, Directed by Arthur Metcalf was a favorite of mine… I mean honestly anyone who has the creative imagination to give life and humor to bubble wrap deserves some kind of award! I will forever think twice before I absent mindedly pop bubble wrap thanks to you Metcalf! The night ended great with everyone heading over to La Roccas. We had a recorder with us, and you will have some amazing bumpers dedicated to the one and only “DAS BOOT” … Char just needs ignore the random yelling and me and Lesya having a 5 min. conversation about pancakes, waffles and snoring at the end of it. All in all it was such a fun week at the show and its only going to get better!
Peace in the Middle East!!
